Location: Syracuse, NY 13210
Duration: 13 Weeks
Shift: Mid Shift – 5x8 Hours (1:00 PM – 9:00 PM)
Schedule: Combination of 8 and 12-hour shifts (as needed)
Block Scheduling: Not available

Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Operating Room (OR) Registered Nurse (RN) to join a high-acuity, fast-paced surgical environment within a Level 1 trauma and teaching facility. The RN will provide perioperative nursing care across a wide range of surgical specialties, ensuring patient safety and optimal outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive perioperative nursing care in the operating room
• Assist in surgical procedures across multiple specialties
• Maintain sterile field and adhere to infection control protocols
• Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and surgical teams
• Monitor patient status before, during, and after surgical procedures
• Ensure accurate documentation of patient care and procedures
• Participate in on-call rotation and weekend coverage as required

Requirements

• Active New York RN license (required)
• Minimum 2 years of recent Operating Room experience

Required Experience in:

• General Surgery
• Orthopedics
• Trauma
• Neuro Surgery
• Robotic-assisted procedures

Additional Details

• Some weekend shifts required
• On-call participation required
• Must be flexible to work both 8-hour and 12-hour shifts (no option for only 12-hour shifts)
