Job Type: Contract (13 Weeks)
Schedule: Night Shift | 3x12-hour shifts (7:00 PM – 7:30 AM) | 36 hours/week


Position Overview

"Navitas Healthcare, LLC" is seeking a dedicated and highly skilled Registered Nurse (RN) to join a Cardiovascular Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (CVPICU). In this role, you will provide specialized, high-acuity care to critically ill pediatric cardiac patients. You will collaborate closely with a multidisciplinary team to ensure optimal patient outcomes in a fast-paced clinical environment.


Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver direct nursing care to critically ill pediatric and cardiac patients
  • Continuously monitor patient conditions and respond promptly to emergencies
  • Administer medications and treatments in accordance with physician orders
  • Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate individualized patient care plans
  • Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary care teams
  • Maintain accurate, timely, and detailed patient documentation
  • Educate and support patients’ families regarding treatment plans and care
  • Ensure compliance with established clinical protocols and safety standards

Required Qualifications

Education:

  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) – Required
  • Completion of a Nurse Residency Program (for new graduates) – Required

Licensure & Certifications:

  • Active Registered Nurse (RN) License
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) – Required
  • Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) – Required

Experience & Skills

  • Prior experience in PICU or CVPICU – Preferred
  • Strong knowledge of critical care nursing practices
  • Excellent clinical assessment and critical thinking abilities
  • Ability to perform effectively in high-pressure, fast-paced environments
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Proficiency with electronic medical records (EMR) systems
