Job Title: Registered Dietitian
Location: Bronx, NY 10451
Shift: 9:00 AM – 5:30 PM

Position Overview

We are seeking a qualified Registered Dietitian to provide nutrition care, patient education, and dietary planning in a healthcare setting. The ideal candidate will assess patients’ nutritional needs, collaborate with healthcare providers, and ensure proper dietary interventions to support patient health outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

• Assess patients’ nutritional status and develop individualized care plans
• Monitor and educate patients on food and drug interactions
• Collaborate with physicians on diet modifications and treatment plans
• Review and interpret lab results, medical history, and clinical data
• Conduct patient and family interviews regarding dietary habits and preferences
• Provide nutrition education and document dietary instructions and patient understanding
• Modify patient menus as needed based on medical conditions
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation in medical records

Required Qualifications

Education:

• Bachelor’s degree in Dietetics, Food & Nutrition, or related field

Certifications & Licensure:

• For Acute Care: Registered Dietitian (RD) credential through the Commission on Dietetic Registration (CDR)
• For Post-Acute Care: New York State Certification as a Dietitian-Nutritionist (NYSED) (required at hire)

Experience:

• Minimum 1 year of relevant experience

Preferred Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience
• Master’s degree in a related field
• AHA BLS certification

Additional Information

• Candidates working in long-term care settings must meet federal and New York State regulatory requirements for Dietitian certification at the time of hire
• Strong communication, assessment, and documentation skills required
