Job Title: Surgical Technologist (Contract)

Duration: 13 Weeks
Start Date: ASAP
Shift: 12-hour shifts (3 days/week) + On-call

Location: Fort Myers, FL

Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Surgical Technologist to support operating room procedures in a fast-paced clinical environment. The ideal candidate will have strong orthopedic experience, the ability to work collaboratively with surgical teams, and flexibility to adapt to varying case demands.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare and maintain sterile fields for surgical procedures
• Assist surgeons during operations by passing instruments and supplies
• Ensure proper setup and functioning of surgical equipment
• Maintain aseptic technique throughout all procedures
• Anticipate surgeon needs to support efficient workflow
• Assist with patient positioning, prepping, and draping
• Perform instrument counts and ensure compliance with safety protocols
• Support turnover between surgical cases
• Float to other OR units or affiliated locations as needed

Required Qualifications:

• Minimum 2 years of Surgical Technologist experience
• Strong orthopedic surgery experience required
• CST (Certified Surgical Technologist) certification required
• BLS (Basic Life Support) certification required
• Experience working with electronic medical records (EMR) systems
• Ability to take on-call shifts as required

Preferred Qualifications:

• Prior travel assignment experience
• Experience in multi-specialty OR settings
