Position Overview

"Navitas Healthcare, LLC" is seeking an experienced and licensed Clinical Laboratory Technologist (CLT) to take on a leadership role as a Chemistry Lab Supervisor within a high-volume hospital laboratory setting. This position is responsible for overseeing daily operations of the Chemistry Laboratory, ensuring high-quality patient care, regulatory compliance, and efficient workflow management.

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise and manage daily operations of the Chemistry Laboratory.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory standards including NYS CLEP, CAP, and TJC.
• Oversee laboratory testing, quality control procedures, proficiency testing, and instrument validation.
• Manage staff scheduling, training, competency assessments, performance evaluations, and cross-training initiatives.
• Maintain inventory, coordinate preventive maintenance, manage purchasing activities, and liaise with vendors.
• Develop and update laboratory procedures and protocols.
• Monitor and enforce safety standards and HIPAA compliance.
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives and operational excellence programs.

Qualifications

Licensure:

• Active New York State Clinical Laboratory Technologist (CLT) License required

Education:

• Bachelor’s degree in Biology, Chemistry, Medical Technology, or a related physical science
  OR
• Minimum of 5+ years of relevant clinical laboratory experience (including supervisory responsibilities)

Experience:

• Minimum 4+ years of clinical laboratory experience
• At least 2+ years of experience overseeing lab operations, quality, and safety processes
• Prior supervisory or leadership experience preferred

Skills:

• Proficiency with Laboratory Information Systems (LIS) and EPIC
• Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite
• Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills

Additional Requirement:

• Completion of a Supervisor Development Program within 3 months of hire
