Job Title: Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN)
Location: Paramus, NJ (Travel between Paramus and Montvale required)
Weekly Hours: 40 hours

Schedule:

• Monday – Friday
• 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM
• 5 × 8-hour shifts

Duration: 13 Weeks (Contract)

Job Overview

The Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) provides direct patient care under the supervision of a Registered Nurse (RN). This role involves supporting orthopedic specialists by delivering patient-centered care, ensuring safety, and contributing to positive patient outcomes in a clinical setting.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care under RN supervision
• Perform systematic data collection, including physiological, psychosocial, and cognitive assessments
• Assist patients with hygiene, ambulation, and meals
• Support preoperative, postoperative, and postmortem care
• Monitor patient conditions and promptly report changes to the RN
• Maintain a safe patient environment by responding to patient needs
• Deliver care tailored to individual patient needs (age, culture, language, etc.)
• Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members
• Perform medication reconciliation and provide patient education
• Assist with preoperative assessments

Required Qualifications

• Ability to provide patient-centered care in a clinical environment
• Strong communication and coordination skills
• Willingness to travel between multiple clinic locations

Education

• Graduate of an accredited Licensed Practical Nursing (LPN) program

Licensure / Certification

• Active and valid New Jersey LPN license
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS/CPR) certification from the American Heart Association

Experience and Requirements

• Minimum 5+ years of experience preferred
• Experience in orthopedic care preferred
• Ability to travel between Paramus and Montvale locations
• No weekend, holiday, or on-call requirements
