Pay Rate: $2,000 – $2,996 per week (based on experience)

• Hours: 8 hours/day | 40 hours/week
• Schedule Options:
  • 07:00 AM – 03:30 PM
  • 09:00 AM – 05:30 PM
• Additional Requirements:
  • Extensive on-call rotation required
  • Rotating weekends and holidays
  • Floating to General OR as needed

Job Overview

"Navitas Healthcare, LLC" is seeking an experienced Cardiovascular Operating Room (CVOR) Surgical Technologist to support surgical teams in a fast-paced acute care setting. This role involves assisting surgeons and nursing staff during cardiovascular and general surgical procedures, maintaining sterile technique, and ensuring optimal patient care throughout the perioperative process.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist surgeons and RNs during CVOR and General OR procedures
• Prepare and maintain operating rooms, ensuring all instruments, equipment, and sterile supplies are ready
• Maintain strict sterile technique in compliance with AORN standards
• Perform scrub duties across multiple surgical specialties
• Pass instruments, hold retractors, cut sutures, and manage surgical counts
• Prepare, label, and handle medications under supervision
• Handle surgical specimens according to protocol
• Assist with patient positioning, transport, and application of dressings
• Operate and troubleshoot surgical equipment (lights, suction, sterilizers, etc.)
• Support OR turnover, cleaning, and restocking between procedures
• Participate in staff training, meetings, and continuing education
• Ensure patient safety, privacy, and high-quality care at all times

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Surgical Technology or Operating Room Technician program (civilian or military)
• Active Surgical Technologist certification (NBSTSA or equivalent recognized credential)
• Current BLS certification
• Minimum 2+ years of CVOR experience required
• Strong communication, teamwork, and organizational skills
• Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English
