Location: Brooklyn, NY 11203
Assignment Duration: 14 Weeks
Schedule: Nights | 8:00 PM – 8:30 AM
Hours: 34.5 hours/week (3 shifts/week, 11.5 hours/shift)

Position Overview

"Navitas Healthcare, LLC" is seeking an experienced Medical/Surgical Registered Nurse (RN) to join a fast-paced acute care environment. The ideal candidate will deliver high-quality, patient-centered care while collaborating with a multidisciplinary healthcare team.

Key Responsibilities

• Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate individualized patient care plans
• Provide direct bedside care to pre-operative and post-operative patients
• Administer and document medications in accordance with physician orders
• Perform clinical procedures such as wound care, IV insertion, and catheterization
• Monitor patient vital signs and respond promptly to changes in condition
• Operate and adjust specialized medical equipment as required
• Collaborate with care teams on discharge planning and continuity of care
• Educate patients and families on treatment plans, procedures, and recovery care
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records and documentation
• Adhere to established clinical standards, protocols, and best practices

Required Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of Med/Surg experience in an acute care or post-acute setting
• Recent clinical experience within the past year
• Strong skills in:
  • Patient assessment
  • Medication administration
  • IV therapy
  • Wound care & infection control
  • Post-operative care
  • Telemetry monitoring
  • Patient education

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with EPIC EMR system

Education

• Associate’s Degree in Nursing from an accredited institution

Certifications & Licensure

• Active New York State RN License (Primary Source Verified)
• AHA BLS Certification
• AHA ACLS Certification (as applicable)
