Compensation:

• Local: $2,242.50/week
• Travel: $2,804/week

Job Summary

"Navitas Healthcare, LLC" is seeking two experienced Registered Nurses (RNs) to join an ICU Step Down unit. This role involves providing high-quality care to patients transitioning from ICU who require close monitoring and advanced clinical support. The patient population includes young adults through geriatrics, requiring strong assessment skills and rapid clinical response.

Key Responsibilities

• Monitor and manage patients requiring ventilators, tracheostomies, cardiac monitoring, feeding tubes, and catheters
• Perform frequent and comprehensive patient assessments; escalate care as needed
• Respond to emergencies, including participation in rapid response and code events
• Support treatments including IV insertion, phlebotomy, and conscious sedation
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams while maintaining a safe patient ratio

Required Qualifications

Experience:

• Minimum 2 years of ICU or Medical/Surgical Step Down experience
• 2 years of IV insertion and phlebotomy experience
• 2 years of experience with conscious sedation

Education:

• Associate Degree in Nursing (ASN/ADN) from an accredited program
• Bachelor’s degree preferred or equivalent combination of education and experience

Licensure & Certifications:

• Active New York State RN License
• AHA Basic Life Support (BLS)
• AHA Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS)
