Duration: 13 Weeks
Shift: Day (40 hours/week)
Schedule: Rotating days; occasional weekends and holidays required
Compensation: $2,275 – $2,536 per week

Position Overview

"Navitas Healthcare, LLC" is seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Medical Technologist (MT/MLS) specializing in Blood Bank to support high-quality laboratory operations. This role involves performing complex diagnostic testing, ensuring regulatory compliance, maintaining laboratory equipment, and collaborating with clinical teams to deliver accurate and timely patient results.

Key Responsibilities

Clinical Testing

• Perform laboratory testing in accordance with established procedures and physician orders
• Collect venous and capillary blood specimens and ensure proper processing and handling
• Prioritize testing based on medical urgency and clinical needs

Quality & Compliance

• Participate in proficiency testing and quality assurance initiatives
• Ensure compliance with CLIA and regulatory standards
• Collect, analyze, and document quality data

Instrumentation & Maintenance

• Prepare reagents, standards, and quality controls
• Perform routine maintenance (daily, weekly, monthly) on laboratory equipment
• Troubleshoot instrumentation issues as needed

Communication & Reporting

• Accurately document and report test results
• Notify healthcare providers promptly of critical values

Operational Support

• Maintain laboratory procedure manuals and documentation
• Monitor inventory levels and restock supplies
• Assist with onboarding and training of new staff and students

Safety & Compliance

• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe laboratory environment
• Adhere to all safety protocols, including emergency and disaster procedures

Qualifications & Requirements

• Education: Bachelor’s degree or higher in Medical Laboratory Science, Medical Technology, Biology, Microbiology, Chemistry, or related field
• Certification: ASCP certification required (or equivalent certification)
• Training: Completion of an accredited Medical Technology internship program
• Experience: Recent Core Lab or Blood Bank experience strongly preferred
