Compensation

• Weekly Pay Range: $2600 – $2700 (Based on experience)

Job Summary

The CVOR Registered Nurse is responsible for providing specialized nursing care in the cardiovascular operating room, supporting cardiothoracic surgical procedures, and ensuring optimal patient outcomes throughout the perioperative process.

Key Responsibilities

Clinical Duties

• Assist in cardiothoracic and cardiovascular surgical procedures
• Provide pre-operative, intra-operative, and post-operative nursing care
• Maintain sterile field and ensure adherence to surgical safety protocols
• Collaborate closely with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and surgical team

Patient Care & Coordination

• Assess and monitor patients during all phases of surgery
• Administer medications and manage surgical instruments and equipment
• Document patient care and procedures accurately in EMR systems

Floating & Flexibility

• Float to other appropriate units based on clinical competency
• Adapt to varying patient care environments within scope of practice

Required Qualifications

• Active Illinois Registered Nurse (RN) License
• BLS (Basic Life Support)
• ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support)

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in CVOR or cardiothoracic surgery settings
• Strong intraoperative nursing skills and knowledge of surgical procedures
