Job Title: MRI Technologist (Radiologic Technologist - MRI)

Location: Syracuse, New York
Duration: 13 Weeks

Shift Details

• Monday – Friday: 3:00 PM – 11:00 PM
• One weekend per month required

Job Summary

The MRI Technologist is responsible for performing high-quality radiologic and MRI examinations under the direction of radiologists. This role involves patient interaction, imaging procedures, equipment operation, and adherence to safety protocols.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform MRI and radiographic examinations as per physician orders
• Prepare and position patients for imaging procedures
• Explain procedures to patients and ensure comfort and safety
• Operate imaging equipment efficiently to obtain quality diagnostic images
• Apply appropriate radiation safety and protection standards
• Monitor patients during procedures and respond to needs
• Document procedures accurately in Radiology Information Systems
• Report equipment malfunctions to supervisors
• Maintain compliance with departmental protocols and policies
• Ensure proper handling and processing of imaging data

Required Qualifications

• Associate’s Degree in Radiologic Technology (or equivalent)
• Active New York State license/registration
• Minimum 1 year of CT/MRI experience as a radiologic technologist
• Ability to pass pre-employment health screening

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in Level 1 Trauma setting
• Experience with Siemens MRI scanners
