Job Title: Travel Respiratory Therapist (RRT)
Location: Fort Myers, FL 33912
Duration: 13 Weeks
Schedule: 36 Hours/Week | Day & Night Shifts Available (Weekend shifts included)

Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Travel Respiratory Therapist (RRT) to provide high-quality respiratory care in a fast-paced acute care environment. The ideal candidate will have strong ventilator management skills and prior travel experience, with the ability to adapt quickly to changing patient needs.

Responsibilities

• Assess patient respiratory status through medical history, physical exams, and diagnostic testing
• Develop and implement individualized respiratory care plans
• Administer oxygen therapy, aerosol medications, and other treatments
• Manage invasive and non-invasive mechanical ventilation
• Perform airway management, including suctioning and intubation assistance
• Respond to emergencies and assist with CPR and critical care procedures
• Educate patients and families on respiratory care and disease management
• Maintain accurate documentation using EMR systems

Required Qualifications

• Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential
• Active Florida Respiratory Therapist License
• BLS & ACLS (AHA) certifications required
• Minimum 2+ years of RRT experience
• Prior travel experience required
• Experience with ventilator management (invasive & non-invasive)
• Comfortable assisting with bronchoscopies

Preferred Skills

• Experience with Epic EMR
• Familiarity with Hamilton and Servo ventilators
• Trauma experience preferred

Additional Requirements

• ASAP start required
• 50-mile radius rule applies (no local candidates within 50 miles)
• Must be open to floating to other units or sister facilities as needed
