Job Title: Registered Nurse (RN) – Operating Room (OR)

Location: Plano, TX

Facility Type: Acute Care / Comprehensive Stroke Center

Assignment Duration: 6 weeks

Shift Type: 1st Shift, 8 hours/day

Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Neuro Operating Room RN to provide care in a high-acuity surgical environment. The candidate must be able to support a variety of neuro cases, including neuro IR, in a comprehensive stroke center setting.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide perioperative nursing care in the Operating Room for neuro surgeries and general surgical cases
• Assist surgeons and the surgical team during complex procedures, including neuro IR
• Ensure patient safety, monitor vital signs, and respond to intraoperative events
• Maintain sterile environment and adhere to OR protocols
• Document patient care accurately and timely in the electronic medical record
• Participate in call rotation as required (1–2 shifts per week, 1–2 weekends per month)

Qualifications:

Required:

• Current TX RN license
• BLS certification
• 12+ months of current Neuro OR experience
• 1 year of acute hospital OR experience within the last 3 years
• Willingness and ability to manage any neuro case

Preferred:

• Experience in a comprehensive stroke center or high-acuity neuro setting
