Shift: Night Shift – 4x12 Hours (07:00 PM – 07:00 AM)

Duration: 13 Weeks

Desired Location: Rochester, New York

Job Description:

We are seeking a skilled Registered Nurse (RN) with experience in Progressive Care / Medical Step-Down (MSDU) to join a high-acuity intermediate care unit. This role involves caring for adult patients requiring close monitoring and advanced clinical support beyond a general medical-surgical setting.

Key Requirements:

• Active New York RN License (must be in hand at submission – no exceptions)
• Minimum 1 year of RN experience
• BLS (Basic Life Support) certification (required)
• Epic EMR experience (required)
• Ability to manage a patient ratio of 1:5 to 1:7
• First-time travelers accepted

Clinical Skills Required:

Cardiac Monitoring & Emergency Response:

• Interpretation and management of dysrhythmias
• Participation in Rapid Response / Code Teams

IV Therapy & Phlebotomy:

• Peripheral IV line care and management

Respiratory Care:

• Nasal cannula, oxygen masks, portable oxygen
• Non-invasive airway management (e.g., BiPAP)

Additional Skills:

• Infection control and isolation precautions
• Experience with telemetry and continuous monitoring
