Position: System Software Programmer – Consultant

Location: Cayce, SC

Hybrid (4 Days Onsite, 1 Day Remote after initial 1 month)
Duration: 12 Months


Overview

Seeking a skilled System Software Programmer to support modernization and migration of financial and administrative systems. This role focuses on developing modern web applications using Angular and .NET technologies, while implementing DevOps practices to ensure secure, efficient, and reliable software delivery.


Key Responsibilities

Application Development & Support

  • Develop, enhance, and maintain web applications using Angular and modern frameworks

  • Support backend integrations and RESTful API development

  • Analyze existing systems and identify modernization opportunities

  • Ensure scalable, secure, and high-performance code

  • Participate in all phases of the SDLC (design, development, testing, deployment, maintenance)


DevOps & Implementation

  • Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines for automated deployments

  • Perform unit, integration, regression, and automated testing

  • Support system upgrades, refactoring, and security patching

  • Collaborate with infrastructure teams for stable production releases


Data & Integration

  • Build and maintain APIs and data integrations

  • Ensure data integrity and consistency across systems

  • Support reporting needs and integration with tools like Power BI

  • Troubleshoot performance and data-related issues


Documentation & Collaboration

  • Create and maintain technical documentation (architecture, APIs, deployment guides)

  • Participate in Agile ceremonies, sprint planning, and design reviews

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams (HR, Finance, IT)

  • Track work items and provide progress updates


System Modernization

  • Refactor legacy systems and migrate to modern platforms

  • Identify automation opportunities to improve workflows

  • Ensure compliance with security and regulatory standards


Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a related field (or equivalent experience)


Required Skills

  • 3+ years of experience with Angular (PrimeNG), TypeScript, JavaScript, HTML, CSS

  • 3+ years of experience with ASP.NET Core and RESTful API development

  • 3+ years of experience with SQL Server (2022+), data modeling, and performance tuning

  • 3+ years of experience with DevOps practices (CI/CD, automated deployments)

  • 5+ years of experience with software engineering principles and SDLC

  • 3+ years of experience in technical documentation

  • Familiarity with data privacy and security standards (e.g., HIPAA)


Preferred Skills

  • Experience with NIST, HIPAA, CJIS security frameworks

  • Experience with Power BI or data pipelines

  • Familiarity with Azure or cloud platforms

  • Experience with SharePoint or collaboration tools

  • Experience in IT development and implementation projects
