Job Title: EEG Technician

Location: Syracuse, NY

Duration: 13 Weeks Contract

Shift: Day Shift – 5x8 Hours (7:00 AM – 3:30 PM)

Hours: 37.5 hours/week

Schedule: Includes every other weekend


Compensation:

  • Travel Rate: $50 – $54/hour ($1,875 – $2,025/week, based on experience)

  • Local Rate: $40 – $45/hour ($1,500 – $1,680/week, based on experience)


Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled EEG Technician to perform electroencephalography procedures in both inpatient and outpatient settings. The ideal candidate will have strong technical expertise, attention to detail, and the ability to work with patients across all age groups.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform routine EEG studies in accordance with established guidelines

  • Work with patients ranging from neonatal to geriatric populations

  • Prepare, measure, and apply electrodes for both adult and pediatric patients

  • Record and input raw EEG data and prepare it for physician review

  • Analyze and document EEG waveforms and observed patterns

  • Edit and manage long-term (24-hour) EEG recordings

  • Ensure appropriate patient and family interaction during procedures

  • Maintain EEG equipment, stock supplies, and report malfunctions

  • Document equipment usage and maintenance in logbooks

  • Follow all departmental policies, procedures, and safety standards


Required Qualifications:

  • Registered EEG Technician (required)

  • Minimum of 1 year of EEG experience

  • Basic Life Support (BLS) / CPR certification

  • Strong computer, communication, and critical thinking skills

  • Ability to pass pre-employment health clearance


Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in Epilepsy Monitoring Unit (EMU)
