Registered Nurse (RN) – Emergency Department (ED) – Contract
Location: Ithaca, NY
Duration: 13 Weeks
Schedule: 3 shifts per week | 12-hour shifts (Variable)
Pay Rate: $55 – $60 per hour
"Navitas Healthcare, LLC" is seeking a skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse (RN) to join a fast-paced Emergency Department. In this role, you will provide high-quality, patient-centered care while collaborating with a multidisciplinary team to ensure optimal patient outcomes. You will play a key role in assessment, care planning, implementation, and evaluation in a high-acuity environment.
Deliver direct patient care including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation
Monitor patient conditions and respond promptly to changes
Document patient information accurately and maintain compliance with clinical standards
Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure coordinated care
Educate patients and families on treatment plans and follow-up care
Support patient safety initiatives and quality improvement efforts
Oversee patient flow and daily operations within the Emergency Department
Assign staff and coordinate workload distribution
Communicate with EMS for incoming patient reports and coordinate care readiness
Collaborate with triage staff for walk-in patient management
Coordinate admissions and bed placement with leadership teams
Ensure effective communication among clinical and support staff
Active RN License (State of New York)
Prior experience in an Emergency Department setting
Strong clinical judgment and critical thinking skills
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment
Excellent communication, organization, and multitasking abilities
Graduate of an accredited Nursing program (required)
