Schedule: 34.5 Hours/Week | Night Shift
Shift Time: 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM
Compensation:
Local: $2,380/week
Travel: $2,941/week
"Navitas Healthcare, LLC" is seeking an experienced Labor & Delivery Registered Nurse (RN) to provide high-quality, patient-centered care to mothers and newborns. This role requires strong clinical expertise in maternal-child health and the ability to manage labor, delivery, and immediate postpartum care in a fast-paced hospital environment.
Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate care for laboring and postpartum patients
Monitor maternal and fetal well-being throughout labor and delivery
Assist with vaginal and cesarean deliveries
Perform IV insertion, phlebotomy, and medication administration
Support conscious sedation procedures as needed
Educate patients on labor, delivery, and newborn care
Collaborate with OB/GYNs, midwives, and interdisciplinary teams
Maintain accurate documentation and patient records
Ensure compliance with clinical protocols, safety standards, and best practices
Education:
Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN/ASN) from an accredited program – Required
Licensure & Certifications:
Active New York State RN License (Primary Source Verified) – Required
AHA BLS Certification – Required
AHA ACLS Certification – Required
NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) – Required
Experience:
Minimum 2 years of Labor & Delivery or Maternal-Child experience
Minimum 2 years of IV insertion and phlebotomy experience
Minimum 2 years of conscious sedation experience
Strong knowledge of labor & delivery practices and maternal care
Proficiency in fetal monitoring and emergency response
Excellent clinical judgment and critical thinking skills
Effective communication and patient education abilities
Ability to thrive in a high-acuity, fast-paced environment
Hospital-based Labor & Delivery unit
Collaborative team setting with physicians, midwives, and neonatal staff
Focus on safe, high-quality maternal and newborn care
