Shift Time: 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM

Position Overview

"Navitas Healthcare, LLC" is seeking an experienced Labor & Delivery Registered Nurse (RN) to provide high-quality, patient-centered care to mothers and newborns. This role requires strong clinical expertise in maternal-child health and the ability to manage labor, delivery, and immediate postpartum care in a fast-paced hospital environment.


Key Responsibilities

  • Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate care for laboring and postpartum patients

  • Monitor maternal and fetal well-being throughout labor and delivery

  • Assist with vaginal and cesarean deliveries

  • Perform IV insertion, phlebotomy, and medication administration

  • Support conscious sedation procedures as needed

  • Educate patients on labor, delivery, and newborn care

  • Collaborate with OB/GYNs, midwives, and interdisciplinary teams

  • Maintain accurate documentation and patient records

  • Ensure compliance with clinical protocols, safety standards, and best practices


Required Qualifications

Education:

  • Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN/ASN) from an accredited program – Required

Licensure & Certifications:

  • Active New York State RN License (Primary Source Verified) – Required

  • AHA BLS Certification – Required

  • AHA ACLS Certification – Required

  • NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) – Required

Experience:

  • Minimum 2 years of Labor & Delivery or Maternal-Child experience

  • Minimum 2 years of IV insertion and phlebotomy experience

  • Minimum 2 years of conscious sedation experience

  • Strong knowledge of labor & delivery practices and maternal care

  • Proficiency in fetal monitoring and emergency response

  • Excellent clinical judgment and critical thinking skills

  • Effective communication and patient education abilities
