Position: O.R. Technician (CST) – Local Contract

Location: New York, NY 10019
Duration: 13 Weeks (Contract)
Schedule: Night Shift | 5 Days/Week (varies)
Shift Hours: 8:00 AM – 4:00 PM
Guaranteed Hours: 37.5 hours/week
Work Type: 100% Onsite (Local candidates only)

Compensation:

• Pay Rate: $60 – $65/hour (based on experience)

Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Operating Room Technician (CST) to support surgical procedures in a fast-paced clinical environment. The CST will assist the surgical team by maintaining sterile technique, preparing instruments, and ensuring efficient workflow throughout surgical procedures.

Responsibilities:

• Perform surgical scrub, gowning, and gloving procedures following aseptic standards.

• Prepare and maintain sterile fields, instruments, and surgical supplies.

• Assist surgeons by anticipating needs during procedures.

• Maintain accurate counts of instruments, needles, and sponges.

• Ensure strict adherence to infection control and sterile techniques.

• Assist with patient positioning and transfer using proper equipment.

• Support operating room setup, turnover, and equipment cleaning.

• Handle surgical instruments and supplies in compliance with protocols.

Required Qualifications:

Licensure/Certification:

• Certified Surgical Technician (CST) certification required

Education:

• High School Diploma required

• Completion of an accredited CST Training Program required

Experience:

• Minimum 2 years of Operating Room experience required

Skills:

• Strong knowledge of sterile techniques and infection control practices

• Familiarity with surgical instruments and operating room protocols

• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced surgical environment

• Strong attention to detail and teamwork skills
