Compensation & Benefits:

  • Salary Range: $44.27 – $61.99/hour (based on experience)

  • Sign-On Bonus: $25,000 (2-year commitment)

Position Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Nurse Manager – Emergency Department (ED) to provide clinical and operational leadership in a high-volume, high-acuity emergency setting. This role is responsible for ensuring the delivery of high-quality, patient-centered care through effective staff management, strong clinical oversight, and operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee daily operations of a busy Emergency Department (approximately 100 patients per day).

  • Lead, mentor, and manage a team of approximately 90 full-time employees (FTEs).

  • Ensure appropriate staffing, scheduling, and optimal resource utilization.

  • Monitor and evaluate nursing care delivery in alignment with best practices and policies.

  • Drive quality improvement initiatives and ensure compliance with regulatory standards.

  • Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary teams to improve patient outcomes and experience.

  • Maintain accountability for clinical performance, patient safety, and staff engagement.

  • Support departmental goals, budgeting, and strategic planning initiatives.

Required Qualifications:

Experience:

  • Minimum 3 years of recent acute care leadership experience in the Emergency Department.

  • Prior Manager-level experience strongly preferred (Charge Nurse experience considered in high-acuity environments).

Education:

  • Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing.

  • BSN preferred or must be obtained within 2 years of hire.

Licensure & Certifications:

  • Active RN license or Compact RN license.

  • Required within 90 days of hire:

    • ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support)

    • TNCC (Trauma Nursing Core Course)

    • NIH Stroke Scale Certification

    • ENPC (Emergency Nursing Pediatric Course) or PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support)
