Contract Duration: 13 Weeks
Shift: Day shifts with variability
Weekend Requirement: Occasional weekends
Weekly Gross Pay: $2,200 – $2,800 (based on experience)
We are seeking an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) specializing in Cardiac Surgery / CVOR to provide high-quality perioperative care. This role involves working across multiple patient populations and collaborating with interdisciplinary teams to support both surgical and procedural care.
Provide perioperative nursing care for cardiac surgery and procedural sedation patients
Assist in scrubbing and circulating during surgical procedures
Support ICU-level care as needed for post-operative patients
Deliver patient care across pediatric, adolescent, adult, and geriatric populations
Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and multidisciplinary teams
Ensure compliance with state and federal regulations and hospital policies
Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient care
Primary: Nursing
Sub-Specialty: Cardiovascular Operating Room (CVOR)
Minimum 2 years of RN experience
At least 1 year as a Circulating Nurse in the OR (or completion of a pre-op nursing course)
Minimum 2 years of ICU, PCU, or acute Med-Surg experience
Preferred Experience:
1+ year CVOR / Open Heart experience
ICU experience
Scrubbing experience in surgical settings
Active, unencumbered Oregon RN License
Required Certifications:
Basic Life Support (BLS) – Healthcare Provider Level
Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) – AHA
Strong knowledge of cardiac surgical procedures and perioperative care
Ability to function in high-acuity, fast-paced environments
Proficiency in circulating and/or scrubbing roles
Excellent communication and teamwork skills
Strong critical thinking and patient care management
Cardiovascular Operating Room (CVOR) setting
May involve cross-functional support including ICU care
Requires adaptability to changing patient needs and schedules
Ideal candidate is a team-oriented, adaptable RN with strong cardiac experience
