Job Title: Registered Nurse – Obstetrics / Med-Surg

Location: Atlantic, IA
Contract Duration: 13 Weeks
Shift: Night (3x12-Hour Shifts)

Compensation:

• Weekly Gross Pay: $2,200 – $2,700 (based on experience)

Job Overview:

We are seeking a versatile Registered Nurse (RN) with experience in Obstetrics and Medical-Surgical nursing. This role primarily supports Labor & Delivery, Postpartum, and Recovery, with the flexibility to float to Med-Surg units as needed.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide patient care in Labor & Delivery, Postpartum, and Recovery settings

• Float to Med-Surg units when obstetric census is low

• Utilize the nursing process to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care

• Ensure patient safety, privacy, and confidentiality at all times

• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to deliver high-quality care

• Maintain accurate and timely documentation

Required Certifications & Licensure:

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) License (state license required)

Certifications Required:

• BLS (Basic Life Support)

• ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support)

• PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support)

• NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program)

Additional Certifications (Preferred/Accepted):

• CPI, ENPC, RNFA, TNCC, AWHONN, NIHSS, STABLE, ASLS, NBSTSA, AAPHON, CMAC, CMAR, MARMA

Required Experience:

• Less than 1 year of experience accepted

Specialty Requirements:

• Primary: Obstetrics (L&D, Postpartum, Recovery)

• Secondary: Medical-Surgical (floating required)

Key Skills:

• Ability to manage both obstetric and general patient care

• Strong clinical assessment and decision-making skills

• Flexibility and adaptability in a multi-unit environment

• Effective communication and teamwork

Work Environment:

• Combination of Obstetrics and Med-Surg units

• Requires flexibility based on patient census and unit needs
