Job Title: Perfusionist

Location: Greenville, SC
Contract Duration: 13 Weeks
Shift Options:

  • 5x8-Hour Shifts

  • 4x10-Hour Shifts

Weekly Gross Pay: $5,200 – $5,600 (based on experience)


Job Overview:

We are seeking a highly experienced Perfusionist to support a fast-paced cardiac surgical environment. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in ECMO, cardiac procedures, and advanced perfusion technologies, with the ability to work independently in high-acuity and emergent cases.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Operate and manage cardiopulmonary bypass and related perfusion equipment during cardiac surgeries

  • Independently assist in ECMO cannulation for adult, pediatric, and neonatal patients

  • Support ECMO transport cases (required)

  • Collaborate with surgical and multidisciplinary teams in emergent and scheduled cardiac procedures

  • Monitor patient physiological parameters and ensure optimal perfusion support

  • Maintain accurate documentation using EPIC

  • Adhere to all clinical protocols, safety standards, and regulatory requirements


Required Skills & Experience:

  • Minimum 5 years of perfusion experience

  • Strong experience in ECMO (including transport – mandatory)

  • Ability to work in high-pressure, fast-paced cardiac and trauma environments

  • Prior travel experience required (no first-time travelers)

  • Minimum 1 year of EPIC experience

  • Spectrum Pump (mandatory)

  • Terumo System 1

  • Quest MPS 2/3 Cardioplegia System

  • ISTAT

  • Centrimag

  • Impella 5.5

  • Bellmont Hyperthermia Kit

  • CardioHelp

  • Angiovac

  • CardioQuip HC


Work Setting Experience:

  • Cardiovascular Operating Room (CVOR)

  • General Operating Room (OR)

  • Pediatric CVOR

  • Pediatric General OR

  • Level 1 Trauma Center experience


Certifications & Licensure:

  • Clinical Perfusionist Certification (ABCP)

  • Basic Life Support (BLS)

  • Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS)


Education Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in a related field (required)


Additional Information:

  • Scrubs provided by the facility

  • Must be comfortable working 5 days per week

  • High-acuity cardiac and ECMO-focused environment
