Registered Nurse (RN) – PACU
Location: Hyannis, MA 02601
Contract: 13 Weeks
Pay: $70 – $79/hr (Traveler)
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8-hr rotating day shifts (08:00–16:30 / 09:00–17:30 / 10:00–18:30 / 11:00–19:30)
Position Overview:
Provide post-anesthesia care for surgical patients, monitoring vital signs, airway, and recovery progress. Collaborate with physicians and healthcare teams to ensure safe, high-quality patient care.
Key Responsibilities:
Assess, plan, and provide post-operative nursing care
Monitor patient responses to anesthesia and medications
Administer IV therapy, hemodynamic, and ventilator support as needed
Document care and communicate patient status to care teams
Educate patients and families on recovery and discharge instructions
Support staff and participate in quality improvement initiatives
Qualifications:
Graduate of accredited nursing program (BSN preferred)
Massachusetts RN License
BLS, ACLS, PALS, Pharmacology & Basic Arrhythmia certifications
Minimum 1 year recent experience in PACU, ICU, CVICU, ER, or Same Day Care
Strong clinical judgment, critical care skills, and ability to work in a fast-paced environment
