Job Duration: 13 Weeks (Contract – W2)
Shift: Day Shift – 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM

Pay Rate:
Local Rate: $58/hr
Travel Rate: $72.40/hr (35 hours per week)
Position Overview:
We are seeking a Licensed Master Social Worker (LMSW) with hospital experience to support inpatient medical and surgical units. The LMSW will provide psychosocial support, crisis intervention, and discharge planning while collaborating with multidisciplinary healthcare teams.
Key Responsibilities:
Conduct psychosocial assessments for patients and families
Provide crisis intervention and short-term counseling
Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop patient care plans
Coordinate care, referrals, and discharge planning
Maintain accurate clinical documentation in compliance with hospital standards
Support patients and families during medical or psychiatric emergencies
Ensure compliance with institutional policies and patient confidentiality standards
Required Education:
Master’s Degree in Social Work (MSW) from an accredited program
Required Skills & Experience:
Minimum 1 year of experience as a Licensed Master Social Worker
Experience in inpatient medicine, surgery (Med/Surg), or rehabilitation settings preferred
Hospital experience strongly preferred
Certifications & Licensure:
Active Licensed Master Social Worker (LMSW) license issued by NYSED
