Job Type: Contract (Onsite)
Duration: 9+ Weeks (Possibility of Extension)

Schedule:

  • Tuesday: 11:00 AM – 5:30 PM

  • Wednesday – Friday: 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM

  • Saturday: 8:00 AM – 1:30 PM
    Total Hours: 44 Hours per Week

Compensation

  • Pay Rate: $22 – $24 per hour (W2)

Position Summary

A healthcare facility in Melbourne, FL is seeking a skilled Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) to support both clinical and administrative operations. The Medical Assistant will assist with patient care, clinical procedures, and front-office coordination while ensuring a positive and efficient patient experience.

The ideal candidate will have experience in occupational health settings, phlebotomy, and electronic medical records, and demonstrate strong communication and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

  • Support front and back office operations within the clinic

  • Greet and room patients while ensuring a professional and welcoming environment

  • Record patient vital signs and medical histories

  • Perform phlebotomy and venipuncture for blood sample collection

  • Administer vaccinations and medications as directed by providers

  • Assist providers during examinations and clinical procedures

  • Conduct EKG and point-of-care (POC) testing

  • Schedule patient appointments and manage phone communications

  • Maintain accurate Electronic Medical Record (EMR) documentation

  • Prepare exam rooms and maintain clinical supplies and equipment

  • Collaborate with healthcare staff to ensure efficient patient care and clinic workflow

Required Qualifications

  • Minimum 1 year of Medical Assistant experience (in addition to externship)

  • Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) Certification

  • Phlebotomy and venipuncture experience

  • Experience working with Electronic Medical Records (EMR) systems

  • Strong computer, organizational, and communication skills

  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced clinical environment
