Travel Rate: $2,500 – $2,600 per week (based on experience)
Local Rate: $2,000 – $2,200 per week (based on experience)
A healthcare facility in Hyannis, MA is seeking an experienced Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) to join the Inpatient Behavioral Health team. The clinician will be responsible for performing comprehensive psychosocial assessments, developing treatment plans, and coordinating discharge planning to ensure continuity of care for patients during acute behavioral health admissions.
The role requires strong collaboration with psychiatrists, nurses, and multidisciplinary healthcare teams to support patient recovery and safe transition to community-based care.
Conduct initial clinical assessments for patients presenting with acute behavioral health needs in accordance with state mental health guidelines
Develop initial treatment plans based on clinical assessment findings
Communicate assessment results and treatment plans to the multidisciplinary care team
Lead treatment planning and discharge coordination in collaboration with psychiatrists and healthcare professionals
Facilitate group therapy, individual counseling, and family counseling sessions
Assist in patient care planning to ensure continuation of treatment in a supportive therapeutic environment
Evaluate medical and psychosocial needs to coordinate home care and community support services
Connect patients with appropriate community-based programs and resources to support recovery after discharge
Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English
Active Massachusetts license in one of the following:
Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker (LICSW)
Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW)
Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC)
Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT)
Doctorate in Psychology (PhD)
Crisis Prevention Intervention (CPI) or Management of Aggressive Behavior (MOAB) Certification
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association
