Schedule:

  • Monday: 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM

  • Tuesday: 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM

  • Wednesday: 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM

  • Friday: 7:00 AM – 1:00 PM

Compensation

  • Pay Rate: $24 per hour (W2)

Position Summary

A healthcare facility in Marion, IL is seeking an experienced Medical Assistant / Phlebotomist for a short-term contract assignment. The role involves supporting both front-office and back-office clinical operations, ensuring efficient patient flow and high-quality patient care.

The ideal candidate will have strong clinical skills in phlebotomy, patient vital assessment, and clinical support, along with experience in scheduling, patient communication, and electronic medical record documentation.

Responsibilities

  • Greet and check in patients while maintaining a professional and welcoming environment

  • Escort and room patients while preparing them for provider examinations

  • Measure and record vital signs and patient medical histories

  • Perform phlebotomy / venipuncture and collect blood specimens for laboratory testing

  • Administer vaccines and assist with clinical procedures as needed

  • Schedule patient appointments and answer incoming calls

  • Maintain accurate documentation in Electronic Medical Record (EMR) systems

  • Provide support for both front desk and clinical operations as needed

  • Maintain exam rooms, equipment, and medical supplies in an organized and safe manner

Required Qualifications

  • Minimum 1 year of Medical Assistant experience (in addition to externship)

  • Phlebotomy / venipuncture experience required

  • Experience with Electronic Medical Record (EMR) systems

  • Strong communication, organizational, and patient care skills

  • Attention to detail and strong computer skills

Preferred Qualifications

  • Medical Assistant Certification preferred

  • Experience in Occupational Health settings preferred
