Location: New York, NY
Contract Duration: 13 Weeks

Schedule

  • Shift: Day Shift

  • Hours: 10:00 AM – 6:30 PM

  • Schedule: 5 Days per Week

  • Total Hours: 42.5 Hours per Week

Compensation

  • Local Pay: $50 – $56 per hour
    (Approx. $2,000 – $2,240 per week)

  • Travel Pay: Up to $69 per hour
    (Approx. $2,760 per week)


Position Overview

"Navitas Healthcare, LLC" is seeking an experienced Endoscopy Associate for a 13-week contract assignment in New York, NY. The ideal candidate will have strong experience assisting with endoscopic procedures and supporting physicians and nursing staff in a fast-paced clinical environment. This role focuses on ensuring high-quality patient care, proper equipment handling, and efficient procedure support.


Key Responsibilities

Clinical Support

  • Record and monitor patient vital signs including blood pressure, pulse, temperature, and respirations.

  • Document intake/output and other clinical observations.

  • Monitor patient conditions and report any changes to the RN.

Procedure Assistance

  • Prepare and assist with endoscopic procedures including:

    • Upper Endoscopy

    • Colonoscopy

    • ERCP

    • Manometry

    • SpyGlass

    • 24-Hour pH Monitoring

    • Bravo pH Studies

  • Download and enter patient data from diagnostic monitoring systems into the appropriate database.

Equipment & Infection Control

  • Ensure proper cleaning, disinfection, and sterilization of scopes and accessories according to infection control standards.

  • Maintain documentation of equipment processing activities.

  • Troubleshoot equipment issues and coordinate repairs with technical support teams.

Patient Care

  • Assist with specimen collection and labeling.

  • Perform EKG monitoring and support post-procedural care.

  • Assist patients with daily activities including ambulation, feeding, bathing, and toileting.

  • Maintain patient comfort and safety during care.

Unit Support

  • Maintain a clean and organized clinical environment.

  • Conduct routine checks on alarms, refrigerators, and safety equipment.

  • Manage supplies, monitor inventory levels, and remove expired items.

  • Assist with patient transport, bed preparation, and visitor support.


Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED required (college coursework in science preferred)

  • Minimum 2 years of recent Endoscopy experience in a clinical setting

  • Knowledge of standard endoscopic procedures and equipment

  • Current AHA BLS and ACLS certification required

  • Strong communication, organizational, and patient care skills

  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a healthcare team
