CT Technologist – Radiology (Contract)
Location: Syracuse, NY
Duration: 13 Weeks

Compensation

  • Local Rate: Up to $2,512.50/week (based on experience)

  •  Travel Rate: Up to $2,876.50/week (based on experience) 

Shift & Schedule
Two Shift Options Available:

  • Mid Shift: 4x10-Hour (3:00 PM – 1:30 AM)

  • Night Shift: 3x12-Hour (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM)
    Total Hours: 40 hours per week


Job Overview

A leading healthcare facility is seeking a skilled CT Technologist to join its Radiology team. The technologist will be responsible for performing high-quality CT imaging procedures, ensuring patient safety, and supporting accurate diagnostic imaging in a fast-paced clinical environment.


Key Responsibilities

  • Perform CT imaging procedures following physician and radiologist instructions

  • Prepare and position patients for imaging procedures while explaining the process clearly

  • Ensure high-quality diagnostic images using proper positioning and exposure techniques

  • Follow radiation safety protocols to protect patients and staff

  • Operate and maintain CT imaging equipment effectively

  • Document imaging procedures and patient data in the Radiology Information System (RIS)

  • Adhere to departmental policies, procedures, and quality standards

  • Provide professional and compassionate patient care throughout the imaging process


Required Qualifications

  • Associate Degree in Radiologic Technology or equivalent

  • New York State Radiologic Technologist License/Registration

  • Minimum 1 year of CT imaging experience as a Radiologic Technologist

  • Strong communication and patient care skills

  • Knowledge of radiation safety standards and CT imaging protocols


Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with Toshiba or Canon CT imaging systems

  • Previous experience in a high-volume hospital radiology department
