Travel Rate: $2,173 per week
Local Rate: $1,794 per week
Schedule
Shift: Day Shift
Shift Length: 12 Hours
Hours: 36 hours per week (3 shifts)
Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend
Holidays: Some holidays required
"Navitas Healthcare, LLC" is seeking a compassionate and experienced Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to support a Child and Adolescent Psychiatric Unit within an inpatient behavioral health setting. The LPN will provide direct patient care and work closely with the nursing team to support children and adolescents experiencing behavioral and mental health conditions.
The ideal candidate will have experience working with patients ages 5–17 and possess strong communication and interpersonal skills when interacting with patients, families, and healthcare professionals.
Provide nursing care for pediatric and adolescent patients in an inpatient psychiatric setting
Assist with patient assessments and monitor patient progress
Measure and document vital signs and patient health information
Administer medications and injections as prescribed
Assist physicians and registered nurses with clinical procedures and examinations
Prepare patients and exam rooms for treatments and procedures
Observe and report patient responses to treatment plans
Maintain accurate documentation in the electronic medical record (EMR) system
Support daily unit operations including patient flow and chart preparation
Maintain a safe and supportive environment for patients and staff
Active Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) License – New York State
Minimum 1 year of LPN experience
CPR certification (or ability to obtain prior to start)
Experience working with children and adolescents (ages 5–17)
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Prior inpatient or acute care experience
Experience in behavioral health or psychiatric units
Familiarity with Electronic Medical Record (EMR) systems
