Shift: Night Shift | 7:00 PM – 8:00 AM
Pay Rate: $64 – $68 per hour (based on experience)
A healthcare facility in Brooklyn, NY is seeking a skilled Registered Nurse (RN) – Intensive Care Unit (ICU) to provide high-quality patient care in a fast-paced critical care environment. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong clinical judgment, advanced nursing skills, and the ability to manage complex patient conditions during overnight shifts.
This role involves providing direct care to critically ill patients, collaborating with interdisciplinary teams, and ensuring compliance with hospital policies and patient safety standards.
Provide direct nursing care to critically ill patients in the Intensive Care Unit
Continuously assess, monitor, and document patient conditions including vital signs and cardiac rhythms
Administer medications, IV therapies, and blood products as ordered by physicians
Perform and assist with conscious sedation procedures while ensuring patient safety
Initiate and maintain IV access and perform phlebotomy as required
Operate and monitor critical care equipment including ventilators, infusion pumps, and cardiac monitors
Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary care teams to implement individualized treatment plans
Respond to medical emergencies and participate in rapid response or code situations
Educate patients and families on treatment plans and recovery processes when appropriate
Maintain accurate documentation in electronic medical records (EMR)
Follow infection control, safety, and regulatory guidelines to ensure high standards of care
Associate’s Degree in Nursing (ASN/ADN) from an accredited nursing program
Active Registered Nurse (RN) license – New York State, verified through the New York State Education Department
Minimum 2 years of ICU / Critical Care experience
Minimum 2 years of experience with conscious sedation
Minimum 2 years of IV insertion and phlebotomy experience
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association
Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification through the American Heart Association
