Job Title: Registered Nurse (RN) – Med/Surg ICU

Travel RNs: $2,700/week (36 hours)
Local RNs: $2,200/week (36 hours)
Hours: 36 hours per week
Candidates with experience in Med/Surg ICU, Med/Surg + ICU combination, Step-Down ICU, or Critical Care ICU will be prioritized.
A leading healthcare facility in Bronx, NY is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) – Med/Surg ICU to provide high-quality patient care in a fast-paced acute care environment. The RN will be responsible for assessing, planning, and delivering patient-centered care for critically ill patients while collaborating with an interdisciplinary healthcare team to ensure safe and effective treatment.
Deliver high-quality nursing care to patients in the Med/Surg ICU unit.
Perform comprehensive patient assessments and monitor patient conditions.
Administer medications and treatments according to physician orders.
Provide IV insertion, phlebotomy, and conscious sedation support as required.
Maintain accurate patient documentation and care plans.
Respond quickly and effectively to changes in patient conditions.
Collaborate with physicians, specialists, and healthcare staff to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
Follow hospital policies, patient safety standards, and infection control guidelines.
Minimum 2 years of Medical/Surgical nursing experience.
Minimum 2 years of IV insertion and phlebotomy experience.
Minimum 2 years of Conscious Sedation experience.
Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills.
Ability to work effectively in a high-acuity hospital environment.
Required:
Associate Degree in Nursing (ASN/ADN).
Active New York State RN License.
Primary Source Verification of license/registration via NYSED.
AHA Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
AHA Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification.
