Job Title: CT Technologist / X-Ray Technologist – Travel Assignment (Night Shift)

Duration: 8 Weeks
Night Shift: Monday – Friday | 12:00 AM – 8:30 AM
Training (First 2 Weeks): Tuesday – Friday | 8:30 AM – 6:00 PM
Daily Caseload: Up to 20 patients (typically lower due to overnight volume)
$60 – $65 per hour
A leading orthopedic specialty hospital in Manhattan is seeking an experienced CT Technologist / X-Ray Technologist for an overnight travel assignment. This role involves performing a variety of diagnostic imaging procedures in a specialized orthopedic environment.
The technologist will work independently during a low-volume night shift while maintaining high-quality imaging standards and providing care to a diverse patient population including pediatric, adolescent, adult, and geriatric patients.
Perform CT imaging procedures including abdomen, pelvis, chest, head/neck, spine, musculoskeletal, CT angiography, brain perfusion, and multiplanar reconstructions.
Perform X-ray imaging procedures including extremities, spine/pelvis, head, chest/thorax, and musculoskeletal imaging.
Operate CT and portable X-ray imaging equipment.
Provide imaging services in outpatient, inpatient, and emergency settings.
Work independently during overnight shifts while maintaining patient safety and imaging quality.
Assist with patient positioning, lifting, and movement when required.
Maintain accurate documentation and imaging records in accordance with clinical standards.
Minimum 2 years of experience as a CT Technologist and/or X-Ray Technologist.
ARRT Certification in Radiography (R) and CT.
New York State Department of Health (NYS DOH) License – required at time of application.
IV Certification (required).
Experience performing portable X-ray exams.
Ability to work independently on overnight shifts.
Experience working with pediatric, adolescent, adult, and geriatric patients.
Strong patient care, communication, and critical thinking skills.
Ability to lift, push, or move patients/equipment up to 150 lbs with or without assistive devices.
BLS Certification required.
