Shift: Day | 6:00 AM – 6:30 PM (12.5 Hours)
Schedule: As Needed – Hours Not Guaranteed
Job Overview:
The Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) provides direct care to residents in a long-term care setting. The role involves assisting with daily living activities, monitoring resident conditions, maintaining accurate documentation, and supporting nursing staff to ensure safe, compassionate, and quality patient care.
Key Responsibilities:
Assist residents with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, eating, and mobility
Support resident transfers, ambulation, positioning, and meal assistance
Monitor and report changes in residents’ physical or mental condition
Measure and record vital signs including temperature, pulse, and respiration
Collect and label specimens (urine, sputum, stool) as required
Maintain accurate patient records and document care provided
Maintain a clean, safe, and sanitary resident environment including changing linens
Assist with resident transportation, basic clerical tasks, and support nursing staff during emergencies
Required Qualifications:
High School Diploma or equivalent preferred
Active Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) Certification required
Knowledge of basic patient care practices and medical equipment
Strong communication, documentation, and interpersonal skills
Ability to maintain a safe and supportive care environment
