Position Overview

A leading acute care hospital in Atlantis, Florida is seeking a dedicated Occupational Therapist (OT) to provide high-quality, patient-centered rehabilitative care.

The Occupational Therapist will manage the full occupational therapy process for assigned patients, including evaluation, treatment planning, and therapy interventions. This role collaborates closely with physicians and interdisciplinary care teams to develop individualized treatment plans focused on restoring patient function, improving independence, and enhancing the overall patient experience.

The hospital is a large acute care facility recognized for its advanced services in emergency care, cardiovascular care, neurosciences, robotic surgery, orthopedic and spine care, bariatrics, behavioral health, and obstetrics. It is also a certified Primary Stroke Center and an accredited Chest Pain Center.


Key Responsibilities

  • Perform patient evaluations and develop occupational therapy treatment plans

  • Assess the therapeutic, rehabilitative, and functional status of patients

  • Develop and implement individualized care plans in collaboration with physicians and care teams

  • Provide skilled therapy interventions to improve mobility, independence, and daily functioning

  • Monitor patient progress and modify treatment plans as needed

  • Observe and report patient responses and changes in condition

  • Communicate treatment plans and care needs with physicians, healthcare teams, and family members

  • Prioritize caseload and coordinate therapy assignments effectively

  • Maintain accurate documentation in accordance with clinical and regulatory standards


Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Occupational Therapy

  • Registered Occupational Therapist (ROT)

  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required within 30 days of hire


Experience Requirements

  • Minimum 1 year of Occupational Therapy experience preferred

  • New graduates are encouraged to apply
