Position Overview

"Navitas Healthcare, LLC" is seeking an experienced Oncology Clinical Educator to support the development and implementation of clinical competencies within the oncology department. This role plays a key part in ensuring nursing staff remain aligned with current oncology standards while delivering high-quality care to both inpatient and outpatient populations.

This opportunity is ideal for a Registered Nurse with strong oncology experience and a passion for education, training, and professional development within a clinical setting.

Key Responsibilities

Clinical Competency Development

  • Develop and maintain clinical competencies in accordance with accreditation standards, internal policies, and departmental requirements.

Education & Training

  • Coordinate annual skills days and ongoing continuing education programs in collaboration with Nursing Leadership.

  • Provide education and training to inpatient and outpatient oncology nursing staff.

Specialized Oncology Instruction

  • Deliver training on standard oncology care practices and protocols.

Course Facilitation

  • Co-facilitate Chemotherapy and Immunotherapy certification courses twice per year.

  • Assist with facilitation of the Oncology Certification (OCN) preparation course.

Staff Orientation

  • Participate in departmental and hospital-wide orientation programs for new clinical staff.

Administrative Responsibilities

  • Serve as an administrator for the Learning Management System (LMS).

  • Maintain clinical competency in chemotherapy infusion processes and oncology protocols.

Required Qualifications

Education

  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred, or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Experience

  • Prior oncology nursing experience required.

  • Minimum 1 year of clinical education or training experience preferred.

Licensure & Certifications

  • Active and unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) license in the State of Colorado.

  • Current BLS certification.

  • Oncology Certified Nurse (OCN) certification highly preferred.

Skills

  • Strong ability to develop, implement, and evaluate educational programs.

  • Excellent communication, training, and leadership abilities.

  • Ability to interpret and apply clinical education goals, policies, and procedures.
