Registered Nurse (RN) – Neuro ICU

Compensation:
Travel Rate: $2,804/Week
Local Rate: $2,311.50/Week
Hourly Range: $38.62 – $52.48
Schedule: 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM (Nights)
Hours: 34.5 hours per week (3 shifts per week)
Contract Duration: Fixed-term contract (no extension available)
The Neuro ICU RN provides comprehensive, high-level critical care to patients with life-threatening neurological conditions. This role requires expertise in continuous neurological assessments, advanced monitoring systems, and complex medication management in a fast-paced intensive care environment.
Perform detailed and frequent neurological assessments (neuro checks)
Manage patients with External Ventricular Drains (EVDs) and Intracranial Pressure (ICP) monitoring devices
Titrate vasoactive drips, sedatives, and other critical care infusions with precision
Demonstrate proficiency in IV insertion and phlebotomy
Administer and monitor conscious sedation for bedside neurological procedures
Collaborate closely with interdisciplinary teams to implement individualized care plans
Provide patient and family education and emotional support during critical situations
Maintain accurate documentation in accordance with clinical and regulatory standards
Experience:
Minimum of 2 years of recent Critical Care experience (required)
Direct Neuro ICU experience strongly preferred
Demonstrated proficiency in IV insertion and phlebotomy
Experience with conscious sedation protocols
Education & Licensure:
Active New York State RN License (Primary Source Verification required)
Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or higher from an accredited institution
Certifications:
Basic Life Support (BLS) – American Heart Association (AHA)
Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) – American Heart Association (AHA)
