Employment Type: Full-Time | Days & Nights Available

Shift Details & Compensation

  • Available Shifts: Days (Rotating Weekends) or Nights (Rotating Weekends)

  • Hourly Pay: $30.60 – $45.90 (Based on experience)

    • Mid-point (8 years): $38.25

    • Max (17+ years): $45.90

  • Sign-On Bonus: $15,000 (Night Shift)

  • Shift Differentials: $4.25/hr for Nights | $3.00/hr for Weekends

Job Summary

As a MICU RN, you will provide comprehensive, individualized care for patients with life-threatening medical conditions. Using the “Assess, Perform, Teach, and Manage” model, you will act as a primary advocate for patients and families while independently managing complex treatments.

Key Responsibilities

  • Advanced Monitoring: Perform high-frequency monitoring and procedures for critically ill patients, ensuring meticulous documentation.

  • Interdisciplinary Collaboration: Partner with providers to create and deliver holistic treatment plans that promote recovery and stabilization.

  • Patient & Family Education: Translate complex medical information to help patients and families understand conditions, medications, and potential side effects.

  • Prevention & Advocacy: Teach disease prevention and lifestyle modifications to support long-term patient well-being.

  • Quality Improvement: Contribute to evidence-based practices and initiatives that exceed unit quality measures.

Qualifications & Requirements

  • Experience: Minimum 1 year of recent acute care RN experience (within the last 3 years). Strong Med/Surg experience considered for those interested in critical care.

  • Education: Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) required.

  • Licensure: Valid Florida RN license or Compact/Multistate license (must obtain FL license if relocating).

  • Certifications:

    • BLS (AHA) within 30 days of hire

    • ACLS within 90 days of hire
