Position Overview

A One Day Surgery Center in Syracuse, NY is seeking an experienced Surgical Tech for a 13-week assignment. This is a weekday-only opportunity — no weekends and no holidays.

The ideal candidate will have strong Level 1 or Level 2 trauma center experience and be comfortable scrubbing a wide variety of surgical specialties with minimal supervision.

Required Experience

• Minimum 3 years of recent OR experience (within the last 4 years)

• Experience in a Level 1 or Level 2 trauma center or comparable teaching hospital

• Strong scrub experience required

• Must be comfortable working in an acute care operating room setting

• First-time travelers will only be considered if they have experience in hospitals of equal size

Required Case Experience

Candidates must have experience in the following surgical specialties:

• Orthopedics

• General Surgery

• ENT

• Vascular

• GYN

• Neurosurgery

• Trauma

• Bariatric

• GU

Additional Requirements

• Certification preferred

• No First Assist duties (per New York State regulations)

• Must not have had any professional license/certification suspended or under investigation

• Must pass pre-employment health clearance

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills required

• Must be able to function independently with minimal orientation
