Job Title: Registered Nurse (RN) – Pediatric Ambulatory Care
Location: Hempstead, NY
Duration: 26 Weeks
Shift: Day Shift – 3x12.5 Hours (7:00 AM – 7:30 PM)
Schedule: Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday | 36 Hours per Week
Local Pay: $50–$54/hour
Travel Pay: Up to $61/hour (including stipend)

Position Overview:
Navitas Healthcare, LLC is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) – Pediatric Ambulatory Care for an exciting Travel or Local job opportunity in Hempstead, NY.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive nursing care in a pediatric ambulatory setting
• Conduct patient assessments and assist with well-child visits
• Administer immunizations and ensure compliance with vaccine schedules
• Perform pediatric dosage calculations and administer medications safely
• Provide telephone triage and patient/family education
• Support breastfeeding education and breast milk handling
• Perform nasopharyngeal specimen collection
• Manage respiratory treatments including oxygen delivery and suctioning
• Provide care for seizure disorders and endocrine/metabolic conditions
• Maintain infection prevention and wound care standards
• Document care accurately in EPIC EMR
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary services

Qualifications

• Active New York State RN License
• Minimum 3 years of Pediatric Ambulatory or Pediatric MedSurg experience
• Recent outpatient pediatric experience required
• EPIC experience required
• Strong knowledge of vaccine schedules and telephone triage
• Bilingual (Spanish preferred)

Required Certification

• BLS (Basic Life Support)

Preferred Certifications

• Asthma Educator Certification
• Breastfeeding Counselor Certification
