Compensation

  • Hourly Rate: $28.85 – $40.87

  • Annual Salary: $60,000 – $85,000


Position Overview

A healthcare facility in Great Falls, Montana is seeking an experienced Critical Care Registered Nurse (RN) to provide direct patient care for medical and surgical patients requiring advanced monitoring and clinical intervention.

This role involves managing patients with complex conditions using advanced medical equipment while collaborating with interdisciplinary teams to ensure safe, high-quality care across the inpatient setting.


Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver direct patient care from admission through discharge, including discharge planning

  • Provide care for medical and surgical patients requiring advanced monitoring

  • Operate and manage advanced medical equipment, including:

    • Central lines

    • Arterial lines (A-lines)

    • Chest tubes

    • Multiple IV infusions

    • Ventilatory support

  • Perform ongoing patient assessments and implement established policies and procedures with minimal supervision

  • Serve as a clinical leader and assist with precepting and mentoring nursing staff

  • Provide guidance and direction to RN, LPN, CNA, housekeeping, and dietary staff

  • Collaborate with Providers, Charge Nurse, Supervisors, and Nursing Leadership to ensure continuity of care


Education

  • Graduate of an accredited Nursing Program (ADN, Diploma, or BSN)


Experience

  • Recent Critical Care nursing experience required

  • Experience in an advanced Medical/Surgical or inpatient acute care setting required


Licensure & Certifications

Required:

  • Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Montana

  • Basic Life Support (BLS)

  • Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS)

Preferred:

  • Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS)

  • Emergency Nursing Pediatric Course (EPNC)

  • Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC)


Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

  • Strong understanding of advanced nursing principles and clinical procedures

  • Proficiency in operating advanced medical equipment, including invasive monitoring and ventilatory support

  • Ability to use basic office and clinical documentation systems

  • Strong leadership, communication, and critical-thinking skills
