Position Summary

The Histology Technician will perform high-volume tissue processing, embedding, microtomy, and staining in a fast-paced laboratory environment. Strong precision skills and efficiency are critical for success in this role.

Required Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of recent Histology experience

• ASCP-HT Certification (Required)

• Strong experience in high-volume laboratory settings

• First-time travelers not accepted

• Pending state license accepted

• Locals not accepted (100-mile radius restriction applies)

Core Technical Skills Required

Tissue Processing

• Routine and complex specimen processing

• Paraffin wax section preparation

Embedding & Microtomy

• Automated and manual microtome use

• Cryostat sectioning

• Cutting blocks and precision microtomy

• Microtomy of fatty and hard tissue

• Embedding GI specimens

• Embedding large specimens

• Embedding molds

• Embedding small and large specimens

• Embedding skin specimens

• Histology cassette handling

Staining

• Hematoxylin & Eosin (H&E) staining

• Slide preparation for staining
