The Program Manager, Value Based Care (VBC) Analytics serves as the operational and strategic leader for a healthcare analytics portfolio focused on value-based care outcomes. This role blends program management, project management, product ownership, and agile facilitation (Scrum Master) responsibilities to ensure analytics initiatives are well-defined, strategically aligned, and delivered efficiently.
Acting as the operational backbone of the VBC Analytics team, this individual owns intake, prioritization, sequencing, and execution of analytics work while coordinating across clinical, operational, and IT stakeholders. The role emphasizes clarity, accountability, and disciplined execution, ensuring limited resources are focused on the highest-impact initiatives.
This position reports to senior analytics leadership and operates with a high degree of autonomy and executive visibility.
Oversee a portfolio of Value Based Care analytics programs and projects, ensuring alignment with organizational strategy and capacity
Manage intake, prioritization, sequencing, and delivery of analytics initiatives
Establish and maintain governance processes for analytics work intake and execution
Confidently evaluate requests, set boundaries, and decline work that does not align with strategy or capacity
Provide program oversight across key VBC domains, including:
Patient Panel & Provider Management: Provider attribution, panel optimization, referral analysis, and performance scorecards
Population Health Outcomes (Quality): Care gap analysis, quality measure compliance, and payer quality data analysis
Population Health Coding (HCC): Risk adjustment, documentation gaps, coding performance tracking
Utilization Management (Medical Economics): Medical and pharmacy cost trends, utilization analysis, high-cost driver identification
Manage and maintain backlogs, workflows, and dependencies using Azure DevOps and/or ServiceNow
Facilitate stand-ups, sprint planning, backlog grooming, retrospectives, and prioritization sessions
Track progress against timelines, scope, and quality standards; escalate risks and blockers proactively
Monitor KPIs and operational metrics to drive continuous improvement
Serve as the central coordination point between analytics, clinical, operational, and IT teams
Lead cross-functional meetings to ensure transparency, alignment, and expectation management
Translate complex technical requirements into actionable, clearly defined work items
Deliver executive-level reporting on portfolio progress, risks, performance, and realized benefits
Develop dashboards, reports, and portfolio summaries to support leadership decision-making
Standardize program management methodologies and operational processes
Ensure consistent documentation, governance, and delivery practices across initiatives
Education
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Computer Science, Healthcare Administration, Clinical Discipline, or related field with an IT focus (Required)
Experience
5+ years in a hybrid role combining program management, project management, product management, or Scrum Master responsibilities
Experience in healthcare analytics, value-based care, or population health environments (Preferred)
Proven experience using Azure DevOps and/or ServiceNow for workflow and backlog management
Strong facilitation experience across technical and non-technical stakeholder groups
