Schedule: Monday – Friday | 10:00 AM – 6:00 PM
Guaranteed Hours: 35 Hours per Week

Compensation

  • Gross Weekly Pay: $2,660

  • W2 Rate: $20/hour

  • Weekly Stipend: $1,960

Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Registered Nurse to serve as a Care Manager in the Emergency Department for a 13-week contract assignment in Bronx, NY. This role focuses on care coordination, utilization review, and discharge planning within a fast-paced acute care environment.

The ideal candidate will have extensive inpatient hospital experience and a strong understanding of case management processes, regulatory requirements, and evidence-based utilization criteria.

Responsibilities

  • Perform comprehensive care coordination for ED patients.

  • Conduct utilization review using InterQual and/or Milliman criteria.

  • Develop and implement effective discharge plans in collaboration with the interdisciplinary team.

  • Coordinate transitions of care to ensure appropriate post-acute services.

  • Collaborate with physicians, nursing staff, social workers, and ancillary departments.

  • Document assessments, reviews, and care plans accurately in EPIC EMR.

  • Advocate for patients to ensure appropriate level of care and resource utilization.

  • Maintain compliance with hospital policies, state regulations, and payer requirements.

Required Qualifications

  • Minimum 5 years of acute inpatient hospital experience as a Registered Nurse.

  • Strong background in Care Coordination, Utilization Review, and Discharge Planning.

  • Proficiency with InterQual and/or Milliman criteria.

  • Experience with EPIC EMR.

  • Associate Degree in Nursing (ASN/ADN) from an accredited program.

  • Active New York State RN License.

  • Current BLS Certification.

  • PRI and Screen certification (or ability to obtain within 3 months).
