The Respiratory Therapist provides comprehensive respiratory care services to patients across various acuity levels. This role supports diagnostic, therapeutic, and life-support interventions while collaborating closely with physicians, nursing staff, and interdisciplinary care teams to ensure high-quality, patient-centered outcomes.
Deliver respiratory care treatments in accordance with physician orders and clinical protocols
Perform patient assessments and monitor respiratory status
Manage and monitor invasive and non-invasive mechanical ventilation
Administer oxygen therapy, aerosol treatments, and airway clearance therapies
Respond to emergency situations including codes and rapid responses
Document respiratory care services accurately in the electronic medical record
Ensure compliance with safety standards, infection control policies, and departmental procedures
Collaborate with nursing and medical staff to optimize patient care
Minimum 2 years of recent experience as a Respiratory Therapist within the specialty
Current Respiratory Therapist credential (RRT or CRT, as applicable)
AHA Certifications Required:
Basic Life Support (BLS)
Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS)
Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS)
Ability to work variable night shifts including weekends as scheduled
Must meet travel eligibility requirements (residing 50+ miles from the facility)
Strong clinical judgment and ability to work in a fast-paced environment
Excellent communication and teamwork skills
