Job Title: Respiratory Therapist

Location: Lawrenceville, GA
Position Type: Contract
Duration: 13 Weeks
Shift: Night Shift – 6:45 PM to 7:15 AM (Variable Schedule)
Unit: Respiratory Care

Position Summary

The Respiratory Therapist provides comprehensive respiratory care services to patients across various acuity levels. This role supports diagnostic, therapeutic, and life-support interventions while collaborating closely with physicians, nursing staff, and interdisciplinary care teams to ensure high-quality, patient-centered outcomes.


Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver respiratory care treatments in accordance with physician orders and clinical protocols

  • Perform patient assessments and monitor respiratory status

  • Manage and monitor invasive and non-invasive mechanical ventilation

  • Administer oxygen therapy, aerosol treatments, and airway clearance therapies

  • Respond to emergency situations including codes and rapid responses

  • Document respiratory care services accurately in the electronic medical record

  • Ensure compliance with safety standards, infection control policies, and departmental procedures

  • Collaborate with nursing and medical staff to optimize patient care


Required Qualifications

  • Minimum 2 years of recent experience as a Respiratory Therapist within the specialty

  • Current Respiratory Therapist credential (RRT or CRT, as applicable)

  • AHA Certifications Required:

    • Basic Life Support (BLS)

    • Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS)

    • Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS)

  • Ability to work variable night shifts including weekends as scheduled


Additional Requirements

  • Must meet travel eligibility requirements (residing 50+ miles from the facility)

  • Strong clinical judgment and ability to work in a fast-paced environment

  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills
