Travel Pay Rate: $41-$46/hr
The Surgical Technologist supports surgical teams in a high-acuity operating room environment, providing technical assistance during operative procedures. This role requires strong Level I trauma experience, the ability to perform under pressure, and full schedule flexibility including call, weekends, and holidays.
Prepare operating rooms with required instruments, supplies, and equipment
Assist surgeons by passing instruments and maintaining a sterile field
Anticipate surgical team needs throughout procedures
Ensure compliance with sterile technique and infection prevention standards
Perform surgical counts and assist with specimen handling
Support trauma and emergency surgical procedures
Collaborate effectively with surgeons, nurses, anesthesia, and OR staff
Document procedures per departmental policy
Maintain readiness for emergency cases and on-call assignments
Minimum 2 years of strong Level I Trauma Surgical Technologist experience
Must be clearly documented in work history
Experience in a high-volume, acute care OR setting
Ability to work a fixed day schedule with on-call responsibilities
Strong knowledge of surgical instruments, procedures, and sterile technique
Excellent teamwork, communication, and situational awareness skills
Availability for call, weekends, and holidays
No block scheduling
Must be adaptable to fast-paced, high-stress trauma environments
