Job Title: IT Healthcare Consultant – Quality Assurance
Location: Columbia, SC (Hybrid – 3 Days Onsite / 2 Days Remote)
Duration: 12 Months
Pay Rate: $60–$65 per hour

Position Overview

"Navitas Partners, LLC" is seeking an experienced IT Healthcare Consultant – Quality Assurance to support enterprise-level healthcare initiatives. This role involves advanced testing of small to large-scale technical projects within a healthcare environment.


Key Responsibilities

  • Perform functional, regression, usability, and negative testing on technical solutions.

  • Develop detailed test plans, test cases, and QA/UAT processes.

  • Analyze test results, isolate defects, and collaborate with development teams to resolve issues.

  • Design and support user interface testing and regression testing efforts.

  • Lead quality assessments to identify security vulnerabilities, defects, and optimization opportunities.

  • Create and maintain QA documentation, reports, and testing artifacts.

  • Communicate testing status, open issues, and risk areas to stakeholders and development teams.

  • Conduct reviews, walkthroughs, and inspections in alignment with established governance standards.

  • Follow and recommend improvements to software testing policies, best practices, and guidelines.


Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in a technical, business, or related field (equivalent experience may substitute).

  • Minimum 3 years of experience translating business requirements or policy documentation into test cases and scenarios.

  • Minimum 3 years of experience building and executing test cases in test systems.

  • Experience documenting and supporting the execution of testing activities.

  • Strong communication skills with the ability to publish and present testing status reports and findings.


Preferred Qualifications

  • 5+ years of experience working with large enterprise or e-business systems.

  • Strong understanding of healthcare operations, preferably Medicaid business processes.

  • Proficiency with Atlassian tools (JIRA and Confluence).

  • Experience working in both Waterfall (SDLC) and Agile environments.

  • Relevant technical and/or project management certifications are a plus.
